Image result for dukakis in army tank

Two predictions:

  1. The Donald will not finish his first (and only) term.
  2. The Democrats will once again shoot themselves in the foot by moving well to the left, as they did in 1972, 1984, and 1988,

Remember McGovern? Mondale? Dukakis?

How could we forget Dukakis?

My favorite fantasy for the departure of Donald Trump is that he will quit at some point, saying, “This job is so stupid and I have to deal with so many idiots that I’m leaving,” the implication being that he is too good for the position. This is a common behavior of severe narcissists, who truly believe in their superiority. If he sees the job as beneath him, he will go.

    But predicting? — impossible.

Here’s my biggest fear concerning Trump. He has such a reprehensible record that, if he were to do three good things in a row, all the reprehensible things that came before them would simply be ignored. Trump would be judged on the last three things.

As an immigrant (naturalized AMERICAN) nonetheless, 2020 means SO much to me and my community. Immigrants have never been harassed like that before, at least not in the 40+ years I’ve been living in this country. We feel like slaves in the cotton field, unsure as to when Massa gonna crack the whip or feed us to the dogs. As for predictions, hmm, anything will be better than what we have now. Can it possibly get any worse? Ha! I suppose it can. Second term!!!!

I think whether Trump serves out his term will depend on whether the Mueller report is made public and, if so, does it indicate beyond a reasonable doubt that Trump was guilty of crimes. Barring that, there will not be enough votes in the Senate to convict him. And of course, he will never resign. As for the Democrats, who knows. Things are in flux to be sure, and their national election incompetence is legendary. I’ll not wager any bets on 2020.
